Winter 2016 Issue

Executive Director’s Message
As 2016 draws to a close, I want to thank the supporters of the Central Nebraska Regional Airport as we see another record year in passenger boarding’s. This year will mark our 8th consecutive year of passenger growth. Not many airports across the country can boast such feat.
2016 has been a very special year for us and the traveling public. With the support of our passengers flying out of the Central Nebraska Regional Airport, you have made our airport improvement projects a reality. In March, we opened a new 33,750 square foot Passenger Terminal. This new building is a masterpiece filled with many new amenities unlike any terminal in the country. We are so proud of this terminal and we hope you have a chance to see (and use) this state of the art facility and share in our excitement.
You will also notice all new parking lots when you come to the airport. This project was finished in November and will alleviate any parking shortage issues we previously had. With over 800 parking stalls, we are set to accommodate the high peak travel months.
I am looking forward to 2017 and the continued growth of the airport. In the spring, Allegiant will be adding additional flights to Phoenix/Mesa, Arizona, and we are also working with American Airlines to add a larger aircraft with more seats.
On behalf of the Airport Authority Board of Directors and Staff, we want to extend our Season’s Greetings to you all!
Remember, when your travels call for you to fly, Simplify – Fly GI!
