The Central Nebraska Regional Airport (GRI) is inviting the public to review and provide comments on the Airport’s proposed Passenger Facility Charge (PFC) Application projects.
A Passenger Facility Charge (PFC) is a federally authorized fee collected from airline passengers and used only for FAA-approved airport improvement projects. The proposed PFC application would help reimburse eligible local costs associated with airport infrastructure, safety, terminal, and operational improvement projects at Central Nebraska Regional Airport.
The proposed PFC funds will start once our current application funds are exhausted. The current application is estimated to expire on December 31, 2029. The collection on the proposed application is estimated to start on January 1, 2030, and to expire on December 31, 2033.
The public review materials will be available on the Airport’s website for 30 days. During this time, members of the public are encouraged to review the proposed projects and submit any comments or questions by emailing Michael Olson, Executive Director, at mike@flygrandisland.com or Katrina Timmerman, Accounting Manager, at katrina@flygrandisland.com.
